The structural characteristics of the refrigerator filter:

Although the whole refrigeration system is working in a dry vacuum environment, there will inevitably be trace amounts of moisture and tiny impurities exist. This is mainly because in the assembly process, due to the impact of the assembly environment, assembly operation is not standardized or parts of their own cleaning is not complete, air or some dust into the refrigeration pipeline. The air contains a certain amount of moisture and impurities. According to the principle of the refrigeration cycle, high temperature and high pressure superheated vapors from the compressor exhaust port discharge, after cooling by the condenser, to enter the capillary tube for throttling pressure reduction. Due to the small inner diameter of the capillary tube, if there is water and impurities in the system, it is easy to cause blockage, so that the refrigerant can not circulate. Once these impurities into the compressor, it may make the piston, cylinder and bearing parts of the wear and tear, affecting the performance and service life of the compressor. Therefore, it is necessary to place a filter drier between the condenser and the capillary tube.

The physical appearance of the single inlet filter drier is shown in the figure. From the surface, the filter drier is a section of thick copper tube, its shell for the copper tube, diameter 16 ~ 18mm, length of 100 ~ 180mm. it has a port at each end, where the thicker end of the inlet end, used to connect the condenser; finer end of the outlet end, used to connect with the capillary tube.
